The Framework

The Anchors in Action Framework represents alignment and agreement between the Center for Good Food Purchasing, Health Care Without Harm, and Real Food Generation on a common set of criteria, definitions, certifications and attributes, measures, and strategies to support values-based procurement efforts across institutional sectors. The Framework was built to enable collaboration and amplify collective impact within our organizations—and invite others to do the same. 

We welcome all organizations, businesses, and institutions interested in aligning their activities with the values described in the Framework to take advantage of this new tool. Through our collaboration, we have addressed many of the concerns of supply chain actors regarding the complexity, cost, and other hurdles associated with values based procurement programming and implementation. The result of that collaboration—The AiA Framework—is now available to help you put your values, your customers’ values, and your community’s values, into practice.
